Gonzalez Byass Vilarnau Brut Cava NV
Vilarnau made its first aged Cavas in the town of Saint Sadurni d'Anoia in 1949. Sixty years later, the wines are now made in a state of the art winery, whose sleek minimalist design couldn't be further removed from the fortified Romanesque house that from which the company takes its name. The keyword at Vilarnau is 'precision', particularly in the vineyards. Winemaker Damia Deas has been at the helm for almost 25 years. This delicate Cava is a brilliant, pale straw colour, with medium-size bubbles. Simple yet delicate aromas of fruits, and hints of roses and other flowers.
