Harmand-Geoffroy Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru 2004
- Out of stock
The nine hectare domaine is run on organic/biodynamic principles with very short pruning. Bottling is relatively early after twelve months in oak of which on average 30% is new. The emphasis is very much on the fruit but the wines are concentrated and quite full with good complexity. The vines in most of the appellations are between thirty and fifty years old. Aromas of blackcurrants with some spice, liquorice and vanilla jump out of the glass. A well structured and complex wine that will only get better with cellaring. Good balance with a clean and fruity finish.
