Jean-Paul Balland Sancerre Rouge 2010
Jean-Paul Balland owns some 24 hectares with fine plots on Le Grand Chemarin and Le Chêne Marchand. The wines of Bué are full and rich in style, Jean-Paul Balland's being a classic example from this village. Jean-Paul Balland is today aided by his oenologue and Burgundy trained daughter Isabelle and his younger daughter Elise in the office. All recent vintages are as splendid as ever and many say Jean-Paul Balland and his daughter Isabelle make the best wine in Bué. This wonderful
Pinot Noir has a fresh and fruity nose with aromas of red fruits. On the palate, red fruits are dominant with hints of vanilla and soft tannins for a round and elegant wine. Enjoy with starters, red meat, game and cheese.
