Massaya Classic Red

Massaya is a partnership between two courageous brothers, Ramzi and Sami Ghosn of the Lebanon, and two far-sighted French families: Daniel & Frédéric Brunier (Vieux Télégraphe) and Dominique Hébrard (ex Cheval Blanc). The Massaya vineyards are located at an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level in the fertile Bekaa Valley where the slopes are protected by Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon mountains. The wines offer a wonderful mix of the Rhône, Bordeaux and the spice of the Levant. Massaya's Classic Red is a blend of 60% Cinsault, 20% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine displays a medium deep ruby hue and aromas of black fruits, liquorice, dried herbs and Asian spices. It is medium bodied, with a warm, rich, sensual texture, soft, ripe tannins and excellent intensity and concentration of flavour.
