Tasting Notes:
This Cap Classique is a blend of red and white grapes displaying the full, balanced yeasty complexity synonymous with a wine made in this style. Notes of citrus, pear, crushed almond and biscuit, this Cap Classique is full bodied and well balanced by fresh zestiness as a result of the naturally racy acidity and delicate fruit.
About the Producer:
In 1995 the Gabb family, originally from Shropshire, UK, fell in love with this picturesque wine farm, restoring it to what it is today, now surrounded by 40 hectares of beautiful vineyards.
The Gabb family are incredibly fortunate to be nestled amongst the Schapenberg hills, beneath which lay 350 million year old decomposed granite soils. This creates one of the most prestigious terroirs in South Africa, and is where their vines are planted.
As well as fantastic views, their vineyards benefit from the cooling and cleansing south-easterly wind, known locally as the ‘Cape Doctor’, which comes in from nearby False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Returns
Online and Mail Order Purchases
We hope that you will enjoy your Steep Hill Wines purchase, but if you find it unsuitable or you are not entirely satisfied, please ensure that you notify us 01522 544737 or by email at enquiries@steephillwines.com to enable us to process your return. All such notification should take place within 28 days, to enable us to accept them for a refund. Replacement or refund will not be made until the original item has been returned to us unused and undamaged in their original packaging.
We cannot give refunds in the following cases:
- Items returned after 28 days.
- Damaged items not notified by telephone to us within 3 days.
Goods returned are at your own expense. We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery or a Courier so that you have proof of despatch.
